Account Executive

Salary:  £25,000 to 27,000 p.a. + uncapped commission (OTE c£40,000 p.a. +)

Location:  London WC1

Work as part of the business development team within this leading media insights company with over 100 staff.  They are looking for an experience new business account executive that has focused on developing existing client to grow and maintain revenue and achieve financial targets from an existing client portfolio by building an awareness of the expanding service range available from the client, through appropriate sales and promotional activities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop an existing base of circa 65 clients with a total value of around £500,000 and an account value of up to £15,000 per annum
  • Ensure each client is contacted regularly and you keep on top of their renewal dates
  • Identify growth opportunities through cross selling and up selling
  • Conduct regular meetings to develop the client relationship and identify new opportunities to support their ongoing strategies
  • To be the point person throughout any form of retention/competitive re-pitch or review and deliver a comprehensive response on time
  • Support the Client Services SaaS Team with renewal proposals when appropriate and any upsell opportunities

Key objectives  

  • Achieve annual renewal revenue target
  • Achieve monthly and annual upsell and cross sell targets
  • Achieve an agreed number of upsell meetings per month
  • Maintain a healthy and accurate pipeline at all times
  • Maintain accurate recording of client interactions, opportunities, pipeline and sales and contract documents within our CRM (Salesforce) at all times
  • Follow up on all marketing campaigns both through proactive activity and leads generated
  • Effectively implement and manage a basic client engagement plan for all your accounts with £10-15,000 annual spend
  • Gain an in-depth, demonstrable knowledge of our full range of Reputation Intelligence services to support your ability to hit your growth targets

Essential qualities

  • At least 1 – 2 years new business B2B sales experience
  • Demonstrable and strong track record of new business and account development attainment of targets
  • Demonstrable success of sales cycle and pipeline management leading to attainment of revenues and other designated targets/KPI’s
  • Demonstrable success in identifying, nurturing and converting opportunities within existing accounts in order to grow and further cement our position within that client
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering and maintaining a high volume of calls per month to achieve your revenue targets

Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 basic - on target earnings £40,000 p.a. ++
