£40,000 p.a. + commission (OTE c£55,000 p.a. uncapped)

Our client is a global media agency that is looking for an experienced Media or PR Account Manager to manage a client base of around 75 PR clients (experience working with these clients is essential). 

You will be responsible for ensuring client retention and upsell growth of these clients in respect of volume and revenue.

  • Maintain and develop an existing base of PR clients
  • Ensure each client is contacted regularly and you keep on top of their renewal dates
  • Identify growth opportunities through cross selling and up selling
  • Conduct regular meetings to develop the client relationship and identify new opportunities to support their ongoing client strategies
  • Be the point person throughout any form of retention/competitive re-pitch or review and deliver a comprehensive response on time

Key objectives  

  • Consistently achieve renewal targets – revenue and volume
  • Consistently achieve upsell and cross sell targets
  • Maintain a healthy and accurate pipeline at all times
  • Maintain accurate recording of client interactions, opportunities, pipeline and sales documents within our CRM (Salesforce)
  • Effectively manage account management duties for your client portfolio
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of our Reputation Intelligence services to support your ability to hit your growth targets
  • Within your specific industry vertical keep a track of industry news and events around which to target discussions

Key Requirements:

  • At least 2 years B2B client management experience
  • Knowledge of PR/Media clients.
  • Successful track record of new business and account development attainment of targets
  • Knowledge of the full sales cycle.
  • Good pipeline management leading to attainment of revenues and other designated targets/KPI’s.
  • Identifying, nurturing and converting opportunities within existing accounts in order to grow and further cement our position within that client.
  • Successfully responding to and winning RFP’s and tenders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, oral and written.
  • A high level of interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines .

Salary: £40K basic £55K on target earnings
