Account Manager – Software as a Service (SaaS), London SW1

Salary:  £35,000 p.a. basic, realistic on target earnings £50,000 p.a.

We are working with a software company that has been established for over 30 years providing adaptable software to large corporate, mid market companies (1K+ staff) and higher education, currently with over 600 clients international.  Their software is adaptable to each organisations requirements and clients will sign up for contracts that are a minimum of one year.  We are looking for an experienced Account Manager that has worked with software as a service (SaaS) to focus on managing renewals with around 100 clients (75% of your role) but to also undertake 25% new business acquisition and therefore experience of consultative SaaS sales is essential.

Outline of Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term trusting relationships with clients.
  • Research clients in order to prioritise calls.
  • Provide clients with an excellent level of service to ensure renewal of services.
  • Upsell new products and in a consultative manner.
  • Give presentations and demonstrations of software products and services to your clients.
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to onboard both new and renewing clients.
  • Work with the Marketing team to create relevant, localised and effective customer communications.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Product team to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of pre qualified opportunities for new business.
  • Maintain CRM records.
  • Report to the MD on weekly/monthly/quarterly renewals and sales results.


  • A-level educated, Degree preferred
  • 3+ years Account Management experience with at least one year being in a company that provides software as a service.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, client retention and SaaS sales skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary: £35,000 p.a. with on target earnings of £50,000 p.a.
