Account Manager, International (SaaS)

Location:  London

Salary:  £35,000 p.a. basic, on target earnings £45,000 to £50,000 p.a.

Our client is a SaaS business that provides educational software for higher education and the corporate sector, currently with over 600 clients international.  Their software provides highly efficient tools to manage and deliver content and engage students/audiences in virtual environments.   

They are looking for an experienced customer account management professional to join the International team to manage relationships, renew and expand their 600+ International accounts.  This role is 70% managing existing accounts, 30% new business acquisition. The candidate must be flexible, creative, proactive, and hands-on, with an ability to achieve personal performance targets while working collaboratively in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

This role will report directly to the Managing Director, International. The successful candidate for this important position will be a founding member of our European organisation and will be instrumental in the company’s continued strong growth.


  • Develop long-term trusting relationships with customers (Install base)
  • Drive a highly dynamic contact engagement process to deliver a high conversion rate on a timely basis
  • Use data to analyse and prioritise accounts & prospects to ensure a balanced use of time
  • Stay up to date with new products/services and pricing
  • Renew and expand a portfolio of key account customers
  • Upsell in a consultative manner to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate new products/services
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to onboard both new and renewing customers
  • Provide input to the Marketing team to create relevant, localised and effective customer communications
  • Provide regular feedback to the Product team to ensure client needs are being met
  • Develop and help manage a Pipeline of qualified Opportunities (from MQLs and direct outreach)
  • Maintain Salesforce records and use internal tools to maximize efficiency
  • Report to the MD on renewals and sales results (weekly/monthly/quarterly)


  • Degree educated
  • 3+ years relevant Account Management experience, preferably in software, marketing/sales technology or related tech.
  • Track record of achieving performance targets
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and Sales process software
  • Proficiency with MS Excel (analysing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through the ability to interact with prospects and customers in a business environment, discuss business needs and communicate the company’s value proposition

Salary: £35K basic, on target earnings £45K to £50K
