Account Manager, EMEA – MarTech

£60,000 p.a. basic + commission.  OTE £85,000 p.a.

Location:  Reading – can be Hybrid but must be willing to attend the office in Reading when requested.

Experience Account Manager with experience of selling Marketing Tech required for this successful, international SaaS marketing automation software leader, established since 2008.

You will work as part of the International team driving retention and expanding a portfolio of key clients through upselling, as well as taking on new customers as the client base grows; therefore strong relationship building and sales experience is essential.  You must be proactive, hands on, with the ability to achieve KPIs whilst working collaboratively in a fast-paced sales environment and the role is ideal for an experience Account Manager with some sales experience working in a SaaS marketing technology provider.

Responsibilities:-

  • Build and manage close relationships with all accounts under management (ets. 70)
  • Drive renewals to achieve > 90% gross retention rate, by ensuring that the company delivers value to its customers by way of monitoring usage and results
  • Develop expansion business within accounts by way of upsell and cross-well across divisions, geography, and corporate organisations
  • Achieve or exceed monthly renewal targets and provide senior management with an accurate forecast and risk analysis of all assigned accounts
  • Develop and execute win/win negotiation strategies for contract renewals that maximize contract value while protecting and enhancing the customer relationship
  • Closely monitor at risk accounts and take the lead in developing resolution strategies. Work with Customer Success, Support, and Leadership to help remove barriers for customers.
  • Serve as point of escalation for and negotiation of critical customer issues; provide summary of the overall ‘health’ of the account and use of our services
  • Identify customer requirements, uncover roadblocks, and demonstrate strong account management capabilities to drive renewal to on-time closure
  • Provide executive management with complete visibility to renewals and solicit executive involvement as required

Experience required:-

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sales account management and renewals from a SaaS, software or solution selling industry
  • A track record of growing existing accounts through up-selling and hunting cross-sell opportunities across group brands
  • Considerable interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation skills that allow for value-based contract negotiations at the CXO level
  • A driven, charismatic, energetic, positive and tenacious attitude to achieving results
  • Marketing Automation industry background preferable
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Apps)

Salary: £60,000 p.a. + commission - OTE £85,000 p.a.
