Asset Case Manager

Asset Case Manager, London N1

Salary:  £29,000 to £30,000 p.a.

Hours: 9am – 5pm

Our client is a highly success professional research company that is looking for a graduate with approximately 5 years admin, communication skills and ideally with experience within either data processing, Insurance or PPI for this interesting and varied role.

You will be responsible for tracing, locating, and contacting beneficiaries to unclaimed assets with a view to recover the assets on their behalf. This is an opportunity to grow and develop a new area of work within the company.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Monitor the arrival of new cases – acting immediately on new information received is essential as cases may be competitive.
  • Estimate case values and establish workable cases, prioritising urgent/ competitive cases.
  • Research potential cases – use tracing databases/genealogy databases/social media to locate and contact beneficiaries.
  • Ensuring beneficiary contracts are signed.
  • Respond quickly and professional to all beneficiary queries.
  • Order necessary documentation to support case i.e., Wills, Death Certs, etc
  • Prepare and submit applications to the Court and monitor throughout the process.
  • Liaise with beneficiaries, keeping them up to date on progress.
  • Liaise with solicitors regarding new cases and any ongoing cases that may need additional instruction.
  • Once funds are received, arrange for payments to be made to beneficiary.
  • Manage a full case load independently.
  • Have a flexible and dedicated attitude towards any “after-hours” work that may be required (from time to time). For example, contact with heirs within different time zones may need early morning or evening phone calls.

Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience

  • Degree educated.
  • Experience within either data processing, Insurance or PPI preferred.
  • Approximately 5 years admin skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional.
  • Calmly confident.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate.
  • Ability to cope under pressure, work on own initiative and organise own workload.
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good numeracy

Candidates must be willing to undertake training sessions in the office, be happy to work from home and have a minimum broadband speed at home of 20 mbps.
