£47,000 p.a. + commission.  On target earnings £63,000 p.a.

Our client is a global research and insights company that is looking for a New Business Development Director to work within their financial and investment client division.

You will be required to own the sales strategy for growing New Business Revenue, manage and mentor 2 BDMs ensuring they hit their targets and achieve success, work alongside Hedge funds, Private Equity, Buy Side and Sell Side prospects to understand and uncover their data requirements, develop existing and new client relationships, work closely with the Lead Generation function, ensuring the right contacts are contacted, at the right time, with the right messaging

The role involves working with a broad spectrum of levels across a wide range of financial services clients. You will need to understand and empathise with their issues to provide the best service and win the business.

The role is diverse and a growth area for the business. You will have the support of a skilled and passionate team, work closely with your Director whilst will be given the autonomy to run your own business area and sub-team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing and driving the team revenue performance through hitting or exceeding team and individual revenue targets
  • Manage your team, including workload, setting objectives and coaching
  • Drive best practice across the team
  • Meeting preparation
  • Quality of proposals tailored around the client
  • Use of Salesforce
  • Developing prospect pipeline through relationships with purchase panel colleagues and pro-active outreach
  • Driving opportunity with new clients to support our Client 1000 initiative
  • Leading the engagement with our largest Investment targets
  • Lead on the key strategic leads for Investment
  • Manage the commercial process from initial enquiry, recognising customer needs, devising solutions, negotiation and co-ordination of delivery
  • Build revenue streams outside existing leads into untapped areas of the industry
  • Working closely with the wider business and building effective relationships
  • Keep up to date account plans and forecasts
  • Develop a strong network of contacts
  • Be an active participant in the new business management team

Requirements

  • At least 3.5 years new business development experience
  • Experience selling into investment / financial clients.
  • A proven track record in new business sales including closing
  • Strong client facing experience
  • having been involved with closing new bus opportunities
  • Strong ability to build internal relationships and manage stakeholders
  • Experience of managing others

Salary: £47K basic £63K OTE p.a.
