£37,000 p.a. + commission.  On target earnings £45,000 p.a.

Our client is a global research and insights company that is looking for a commercially minded business development manager with good consultative sales skills and the ability to engage with a portfolio of FMCG companies (90% existing/10% new) and introduce other services.


  • Take ownership over growing the usage service of clients within the consumer industry.
  • Working mainly with existing clients and driving new opportunities to grow these accounts through the usage service
  • To build effective working relationships with other teams that work with the clients you are targeting and devise a joint plan to promote usage within their businesses
  • To work towards a personal revenue target and contribute heavily towards overall usage service and business growth
  • To generate regular meetings and proposals from a large list of target usage clients and build your own client relationships via your colleagues (no cold calling) 
  • To act as an expect for the wider new business team, supporting them in growing their clients through the usage service

Skills required

  • Naturally strong at building relationships both internally and externally
  • A consultative business development background
  • 2-3 years business development skills
  • Can manage internal stakeholders effectively, comfortable influencing the behaviours of more senior colleagues
