Conference Events Organiser


Location:   Oxford

Salary:  £27,500 p.a.

International travel is required when Covid restrictions permit. Whilst all conferences are online now, they hope to go back to normal in 2022 and then you will be required to attend conferences internationally and coordinate events on site.

Our client is involved in scientific research and is looking for 2 individuals to help run and manage their Conference Events.

You will be involved in all aspects or coordinating the company’s conferences and events including :-

  • Stakeholder Management, liaising with committee members including Nobel Prize winners.
  • Working to budgets and strict deadlines.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Facility and vendor negotiations.
  • Coordinating equipment, contracting event staff and other resources.
  • Setting the direction for promotional efforts.
  • Arranging promotional programs, industry publications with the promotions department.
  • Negotiating contracts for event accommodations, transportation, hospitality venues and special access facilities.
  • Research, develop, plan, design, maintain and implement policies and programs that enhance the organization’s relations with the community, the public, government and regulatory authorities, shareholders and employees.

Experience required:

  • Previous experience of running conferences and/or events.
  • Previous experience of Stakeholder management.
  • Good problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Articulate and professional.
  • Superb communication skills.
  • Ability to work to strict timescales and work within budget restraints.
