eCommerce Trading Manager, Borehamwood

£65,000 to £70,000 p.a. + 10% bonus

Fantastic opportunity for experienced eCommerce Trading Manager to join this award winning international ecommerce company with over 10 years proven success in their field, where you will have responsibility for driving profitable sales growth through the company’s websites, with ownership of sales and profit targets through the management of discount, category/product mix and margin. 

You will be supported by a team of four who have a focus on ensuring the website is fully optimised and delivered across all marketing channels and mobile devices.

Day to day duties:

  • Managing the B2C trade plan for two of the company’s brands, managing the point of difference in brand positioning and delivering the B2C sales targets.
  • Managing the discount line, working with the wider marketing team (CRM and Acquisition) to ensure that plans are aligned and within budget.
  • Deliver on the Amazon promotional plan and working cross department to deliver budgeted sales.
  • Updating and reporting on performance to the Senior Management Team.
  • Working with Head of Ecommerce to define future budgets and phasing.
  • Working with the Senior Analyst and Head of CRM to report on CLTV from strategic promotions.
  • Management of month end forecasting and refinement of activity to deliver budgets.
  • Working closely with Buying Director and Head of Partner Management to deliver strong seasonal product offers, and introduce new product concepts and ranges, ensuring our offering is best in market and continually evolving.
  • Defining and delivering the strategy for onsite promotions / bundle deals.
  • Support web trading team to achieve individual category and margin targets, through a focus on improving individual product performance, optimising and enhancing the product range, and reporting on the impact of any actions.
  • Support the web trading team to analyse trends for key products, and to help optimise/convert traffic coming to products and to plan activity to support product sales through all channels.


  • 5 years commercial web trading experience with a focus to drive trade and manage budgets to achieve commercial targets.
  • Prior commercial experience in a similar role for an  eCommerce focused business / transactional website such as Tesco’s, Wowcher, Groupon, Living Social, Secret Escapes, Figleaves, or similar.
  • Exceptional web analytics knowledge (SiteCatalyst/Omniture, Google Analytics, Coremetrics).
  • Able to demonstrate exposure to and experience of driving trade and/or managing a budget to achieve commercial targets.
  • Able to collaborate with various other teams to ensure B2C trade plans are achieved including CMR, Buying, Product and eCommerce teams.
  • Good attention to detail with an ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well organised, able to forward plan, anticipate and escalate issues, provide solutions, and meet deadlines.

Salary: £65,000 to £70,000 p.a. + 10% bonus
