Salary: to £9.50 per hour – with the potential of a full time role and revised increase in annual salary thereafter

Shoreditch, London N1 (nearest tube station Old Street)

HYBRID WORKING Hours: You will be required to work both remotely from home and on site at the Shoreditch office dependant on the team’s needs. There is no set schedule to attend the office, but on average, 3 times a month. During busy event periods, it may require more frequent visits to the office.

The working hours are 40 hours per week worked over 5 days per week, Monday to Friday. 

The marketing team operates from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.  In addition, a willingness to offer flexibility with working patterns (contracted hours, lunch break, workload) is expected. You may also be required to attend events outside of working hours.

Our client is a successful Legal Research company involved in Probate Research.  They are looking for an Events Assistant to assist with the running of the company and sponsored events, and to support the marketing team in a timely and professional manner.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the events team with a high number of events, ranging from small meetings to award ceremonies
  • Maintaining records of all bookings e.g. venue and catering.
  • Creation and send of pre and post Event email campaigns.
  • Organise Webinar links and gather attendee registration information.
  • Arranging event kit & marketing collateral transportation & collection.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing manager, internal teams, clients, partners, and suppliers
  • Travel & accommodation bookings
  • Assisting with creative decisions.
  • Keeping spreadsheets/Internal Database up to date with relevant event information.
  • Obtaining and monitoring event feedback
  • Sending marketing materials to regular/potential clients
  • Updating our social media channels as and when required
  • Creating graphics for event promotion and social media updates.
  • Participation and minute taking in monthly event meetings.
  • Organise prize draw entries and winners and update database.
  • Create/Update Staff presentations
  • To undertake training and development as specified by your line manager or Director
  • To attend and assistant with corporate functions as directed by your line manager or Director
  • Attend regular team meetings and internal/external meetings or events as requested
  • Ensure that your workstation is kept clean and tidy and/or meets health and safety standards
  • Work with your Line Manager as directed to develop projects that will build on and enhance the Marketing department.
  • Undertake any additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by your Line Manager

Skills Required:

  • Experience of Event work gained through training or education.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team to deliver organised events and marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of using own discretion and judgement to find solutions to problems
  • Working knowledge of using the Internet, email and Windows-based applications, particularly spreadsheet applications
  • Proven ability to liaise, co-ordinate and disseminate quality information across a range of disciplines
  • Effective team building skills and experience in relationship development
  • The ability to manage under pressure and work to targets and tight deadlines

Qualifications & Achievements

  • Educated to A-Level standard. A degree is desirable, but not essential
  • Proven project management skills
  • Confident with all Microsoft Office packages

Salary: to £9.50 per hour
