Salary:  £45,000 p.a.

Monday to Friday – 45 hour week

Fantastic opportunity for experience Mainteance Manager to get involved in building project management and renovation for this 3K sq ft venue.  Duties will range from property maintenance, managing building contractors, changing lightbulbs, managing council applications and fitting fire alarm doors, to name a few.

Key Responsibilities include:-

Building Projects, Equipment Purchase and Installation

  • Overseeing all building projects to ensure they are built to design and delivered on time and to budget.
  • Research, assess, purchase and oversee the installation of any new equipment required.

Building Management

  • Keep all buildings in good working order, organising maintenance and repair when required.
  • Notifying relevant management when there are issues with any of the buildings, equipment or utilities and finding suitable solutions.
  • Always have a network of specialists ready to call upon that can cover any issue relating to all areas of the job.
  • Ensure that all buildings are run energy efficiently. 
  • Ensuring front yard of the building is kept organised and clean.
  • Cost Forecasting
  • Supply annual forecasts for expected running costs and required maintenance spend for all sites and vehicles.
  • Agree plan with MD and financial controller for any necessary capital expenditures.

Utilities Service and Equipment Management/Maintenance

  • Make sure all facilities always have the required utilities (electricity, gas, water, drainage, heat, security systems, fire alarm systems, internet, lighting, etc.).
  • Regularly review the cost of all utility services to confirm the company is paying the best prices, negotiating, entering and exiting contracts when required.
  • Review the consumption of all utilities to make sure in line with forecast and there is no undue wastage.
  • Plan and co-ordinate the installation (when required), repair and maintenance of all utilities related equipment.

Vehicle Management and Maintenance

  • Maintain and service all vehicles as necessary.
  • Manage the repair of any vehicles when needed so that they are always operational.
  • Ensure insurance for the vehicles is in place at all times.
  • Check licences of all staff using any vehicles to make sure they are valid and meet insurance criteria.

Meet Government, Environment and Health & Safety Regulations

  • Put in place and maintain all health and safety documentation together with BOH manager required for each building, all equipment and all associated utilities.
  • Ensure that fire and security alarm systems are tested weekly.
  • Ensure that fire and security procedure are in place and upheld at any time.

Experience Required

  • 3-5 years experience of  project manager or facilities management and other related activities.
  • High technical understanding of building utilities, vehicles, building equipment and related expertise in order to be able to effectively work with external specialists.
  • In depth knowledge of all buildings, vehicle and equipment related regulations.
  • Clean Drivers Licence.
