Salary:  £115,000 p.a. + 10% bonus

Well established global information and analytics company requires a Senior Architect to provide effective architectural and technical leadership for enterprise services and applications that support the Corporate and Business units of the company, in particular it’s new Identity and Access management platform.

As Senior Architect you will provide effective architectural and structural design leadership; ensure ongoing development, maintenance, and delivery of technical knowledge and expertise and determine the Identity and Access IT domain and the feasibility of significant changes through projects/programs.

You will also be responsible for providing (technical) assessments and acting as the design authority for new technologies as needed, working closely with technology and infrastructure operations peers across the whole of the group as well as product and project leaders/managers, and other in-house technology staff where required.

The Senior Architect will also contribute to the successful completion and delivery of respective components and any other related deliverables. This position may also oversee components of the department budget. You will report progress to senior management and identify and support talent and defines resource requirements and allocations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical leadership, direction and fulfils the role of design authority for the Group’s Identity and Access management platform – Saviynt
  • Support the coordination of enterprise systems / applications adoption, enhancements and changes that impact all company business units
  • Provide consultancy, leadership and promote best practices to the business units in strategically important areas, specifically Microsoft on-premise and cloud-based services and applications.
  • Recommend use of new features and functionality to improve overall system performance, security and availability as well as business productivity.
  • Problem-solve, involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues.
  • Where required support business units in due diligence efforts as well as integrations resulting from acquisition activities.
  • Perform technical evaluations of new technology and acquisition candidates as required
  • Demonstrate expertise and thorough understanding of major system components in completing assigned tasks across key major technologies.
  • Establish standards and guidelines are in place and are widely communicated to all stakeholders to ensure consistency and compliancy across the organisation.
  • Act as a mentor to other systems engineering team members, as necessary and appropriate.
  • Proactively research, monitor, learn, and assess industry/technology advancements and continually build alliances to explore ways to leverage and advance our technical opportunities.
  • Communicate to key strategic vendors additional features or products needed and work with user organizations to promote improvements.
  • Ensure enterprise change management activities follow strict protocol and are handled in a concise, transparent and well communicated manner. Thorough due diligence is applied to all changes.
  • Work closely with development groups, support groups, and vendors to coordinate special operations, and communicate/escalate problems as appropriate to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Work closely with support groups to refine system monitoring and reporting, and to assist them in their analysis and problem recovery.
  • Diagnose system performance problems using available standard performance tools and system indicators.
  • Provide prompt recovery and problem escalation for the exceptions, extrapolating and integrating information within defined boundaries, using multiple system management and problem management tools.
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive information security procedures and practices and deployment of a detailed security audit.

  • Partner closely with development groups, support groups, and vendors to coordinate special operations, and communicate/escalate problems as appropriate to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Apply problem-solving skills in multiple operating environments to support assignments involving the execution of a series of related tasks.
  • Proper creation, execution, documentation, and closure of tasks, changes, and requests.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of architectural governance
  • Advanced knowledge of Identity Life cycle Processes
  • Experience with Identity and Access management products such as Saviynt, MIM etc.,
  • Advanced knowledge of key enterprise identity technologies such as Active Directory, Azure Active Directory Identity and Security components and sub systems and supporting services such as Public Key Infrastructure and MFA.
  • Advanced knowledge of 0365 suite and ecosystem
  • Knowledge of virtualisation technologies
  • Cloud based hosting services (Azure, AWS)
  • Advanced understanding of ITIL processes
  • Knowledge of business Continuity Management (i.e., system recovery procedures).

Salary: £115,000 + 10% bonus
