Senior Real Estate Undewriter
Hybrid from either their office in Essex or Brighton.
1 to 2 days in the office, 3 to 4 days from home.
Salary: £50,000 p.a. + bonus + benefits including share options and 25 days holiday.
Experienced commercial real estate underwriter required for highly
successful insurance group. You will be underwriting profitable renewals
and new business on a day-to-day basis and assisting a brokers with the smooth
running of existing policies.
Duties:-
- Pro-actively managing renewals & new business quotes for a property/real estate book.
- Underwriting residential and commercial property/real estate risks within guidelines.
- Liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Ensuring all documentations and systems are kept up to date and provided to supporting brokers in a timely manner.
- Actively engaging with brokers to ensure the company is their first port of call on new business enquiries.
- Ensuring SLA’s are met and timely issuance of documentation.

Requirements:-
- You will have good experience of commercial real estate underwriting.
- Ideally with experience working on a mixed property portfolio with exposure to both commercial and residential real estate/property owners’ risks.
- A varied skill set that includes strong communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, analytical and IT skills.
- Previous experience within an MGA or commercial insurance underwriting role desirable.
